The Destinations & Objectives
The expedition is based in two key mountain hubs, allowing us to adapt to weather, volcanic activity, and group ability.
• Malalcahuello Area: Base yourself in a comfortable mountain lodge and access objectives like the Lonquimay Volcano (9,400′), which offers a consistent 35° descent.
Other potential objectives include the highly active Llaima Volcano (10,253′) and the Sierra Nevada Volcano.
• Pucón Area: Move south to access the iconic Villarrica Volcano (9,341′), famous for its perfectly conical shape and smoking summit. The ultimate highlight is the Lanín Volcano (12,293′) on the Chile-Argentina border, an ascent typically done over two days offering up to 8,000 vertical feet of skiing.
