Cerro Castor – Ushuaia
Overview
Located in Tierra del Fuego, mere miles from the Beagle Channel, Cerro Castor holds the title of the southernmost ski resort on Earth. Its extreme southern latitude guarantees the longest, most reliable ski season in South America, and some of the coldest, highest-quality snow on the continent, making it a frequent late-season training ground for international World Cup ski teams.

Terrain & Amenities
• The Terrain: Operating entirely at a lower altitude (the base is just 195m above sea level), the mountain does not suffer from altitude sickness issues but still receives massive, freezing oceanic storms. The terrain features sustained, incredibly consistent pitches, world-class groomers, and fantastic tree skiing through dense, moss-draped Lenga forests that protect the snow from the wind.
• Amenities: The base area is incredibly modern, featuring one of the most efficient lift networks in Argentina. The on-mountain dining is exceptional, heavily featuring the region’s famous specialty: fresh Patagonian King Crab, served alongside premium local craft beers.
